The Arc is like many other organizations that rely on the community to support its mission. Without your help The Arc cannot advocate for individuals who have a difficult time representing themselves. The Arc will not be able to work closely with legislators ensuring that laws are being followed that allow individuals with disabilities choices in leading a full life. The Arc cannot offer educational workshops and trainings to individuals and families to guide them in making the best choices for their lives. Social gatherings that forge friendship and build self-esteem would be limited without funds to supplement the activities.
The Arc of Blair County does not receive any federal, state or county funding to serve the community. The Arc of Blair County is able to exist through memberships, general donations and grants. You can support The Arc of Blair County through many different options:
- Make a general, tax-deductible donation to The Arc of Blair County
- Earmark a charitable remainder trust (CRT) or other gift annuity to The Arc of Blair County. This is a very simple process in which you can receive income
- Remember The Arc of Blair County in your will or estate
- Complete a simple one-page application and receive tax credits for donating to a specific program. (Form available below)
- A tax credit for sponsoring a K-12 youth program is available with substantial tax benefits to the donor
- Participate in an Arc of Blair County fundraising event. See the ‘Support The Arc’ page on this website for fundraising or sponsorship options.

- Company banners displayed at Arc activity of choice
- Company merchandise with logo on it distributed once a year to activity of choice (company provides give-aways)
- Recognition at The Arc of Blair County annual Award Celebration Banquet
- Photo display and article in corporate newsletter (circulation 1,000)
- Photo display and recognition in Arc monthly member newsletter (circulation 500)
