The “Arts at The Arc” program is a six-week visual arts class offering students an opportunity to learn the fundamentals and elements of art. Each week, students explore a different artistic technique and medium. This year, students learned Watercolors, Picasso’s Cubism, Japanese Kinusaiga, Neon X-ray Art, and Colored Pencil Stills, with a little bit of Expressionism thrown in.
Each year, an art exhibit is held at different venues to showcase the students’ work. The program highlights the many abilities of individuals who have a developmental disability while fostering self-esteem, encouraging creativity, and instilling a sense of community.
The 2026 Artists of “Arts at The Arc” are Brooke Baird, Becky Frew, Garran Burget, Joe Frew, Katie Burke, Luke Hullihen, Julian Ciccarella, Tina Lamborn, Ashley Clark, Christina Polito, Lois Fagan, and Camey Wilt.
