Drawing of the Penn State Raffle Tickets will take place on August 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. on Facebook Live. The winners will be posted on this announcement page following the drawing. Thank you again for everyone who supported the fundraiser by selling raffle chances. The winners, who have been contacted, have 8 days to contact The Arc and make arrangements to receive their game tickets or gift card. The picnic is set for Friday, August 28. The location has been selected – Nature Works Park, located at 108 Bedford Street, Hollidaysburg. The time is 5 pm to 7 pm. Dinner provided. Games. Must register to attend, including staff and family members.
Please always call The Arc office before stopping down. The Arc is a small staff and many times we are at meetings or running errands for the classes/programs. We are a small staff and always working but not necessarily in the office. If you just want to drop something off, there is a drop box located by the main entrance door, next to the numbered mail box. Feel free to drop papers and information inside the drop box.
Don’t get confused. The only place to discover cancellations or special classes is this page of the website. The white bulletin board at The Arc does not have updated information – it is created weeks in advance. Same thing for the newsletter on the website Arc members page. The Arc only posts changes to is this page – the announcement page of The Arc Blair website.
The sign up for programs closes 5 days before a class. If you miss the registration you will not be able to attend the class. It is best to register as soon as read in the newsletter. Be sure you are available on the date of class before registering. Once registered, if a no show to the class, a $10 fee will be assessed. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of any class or program to get settled and use the restroom. It is disruptive to the teaching of the class for all involved when participants arrive late and are not prepared. The instructor(s) cannot guarantee thorough teaching of subject material for late arrivals.
